Pre Primary program is designed to introduce the art of movement to little ones through
playful activities and imaginative exercises. Our nurturing instructors bring warmth and
enthusiasm to every lesson, ensuring that each child feels supported and excited to learn,
by creating an engaging environment where kids can express themselves and build
confidence. Our gentle introduction to ballet basics helps improve coordination, balance,
and flexibility, laying a solid foundation for future dance endeavors. With a focus on creative
movement and storytelling, our class encourages self-expression and inspires a lifelong
love for dance.
Pre Primary is for students between the ages of 3 years (6 months above) – 5 plus years
and requires attendance once a week. Regular attendance is beneficial for creating a sense
of stability and for cognitive engagement and emotional growth. As they interact with
peers, children develop important social skills like sharing, taking turns, and working
together in a supportive setting.

The Junior Ballet Program is crafted to elevate the principles and concepts inherent in Ballet on a global scale. Students will delve deeper into the refined technique of classical ballet, all the while embracing the artistry of creative movement through the dynamic fusion of Jazz Ballet. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on holistic development, encompassing body conditioning, Barre work, Centre work, cultivating correct posture, mastering proper turnout, delving into French terminology, and attuning to the rhythmic nuances of musicality. At this stage, students are introduced to examinations, adding an extra layer of challenge and achievement to their dance endeavors.

Junior Ballet is for children aged 9-12 years. Lessons twice a week is required

The Advanced Junior Ballet Program is designed for early teens with strong ballet foundations and advanced skills. This specialized program focuses on refining technique, building strength, and mastering more complex movements, including the introduction of pointe work. Students will experience a rigorous curriculum that includes classical ballet, pointe, and contemporary training, all aimed at enhancing their artistry and preparing them for the next stage in their dance journey. The Intermediate Ballet program offers an elevated experience with intricate barre exercises and dynamic across-the-floor combinations. We place a heightened emphasis on refining technique, mastering dance terminology, and achieving impeccable musicality and alignment. As students advance, Pointe work is introduced for girls when they are physically ready. Additionally, our curriculum integrates Contemporary, Lyrical and Jazz Ballet, enriching the dance journey. To ensure a comprehensive ballet education, students can progress through grades by undertaking exams ranging from pre-grades to the prestigious Teachers Diploma. 

This program is for children aged 13-16 years. Intermediate students must attend classes three times a week.

The Advanced Ballet program consists of increased emphasis on line, style, and performance-level quality and technique. Students will be pushed beyond their comfort level, and challenged by new steps and combinations. Emphasis on classical alignment, articulation, extension, multiple pirouettes, traveling turns, petit allegro and beginning beats, elevation, musicality, partner work and more complex memory work. 

This program is for girls and boys aged 17 and above with prior extensive ballet knowledge

Beginner Ballet & Jazz For Adults

A three-month program designed to introduce the fundamentals of Classical and Jazz Ballet. The perfect class for the seasoned dancer, who would like to refine their technical ability, or for those who have studied ballet previously and wish to rekindle their love for dance. Classes will consist of barre exercises that focus on proper alignment as well as the steps which foster core and leg strength and flexibility. The center work will introduce elementary steps, simple jumps, and turns. No prior experience is necessary to enroll.

This program is for students aged 19 and above.

This program is for the Beginner Ballet graduate or those with previous ballet training and solid technique. The intermediate dancer can process more complicated sequences, can execute barre exercises with greater speed and accuracy and is expected to coordinate arm and leg movements smoothly. Center floor work requires a greater ability to use core strength and balance and incorporates more challenging petite and grande allegro steps and turns.

Our specialized boys training in Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Modern Jazz  is designed for those interested in dance and for those wishing to explore artistic movement. Classes are also suitable to further develop the skills of those who have already begun their ballet journey. 

The Boys’ Program provides dance training in classes designed to enhance athletic skills, motor intelligence, balance, flexibility, and strength. The class focuses on age-appropriate skills, allowing students to develop as dancers and young men.

This program is for boys ages 18 years and upwards.

FAQ

What is the enrollment age for the Ballet & Jazz programs?

Our enrolling age for the Ballet & Jazz is 3 years 6 months and upwards.

What is the enrollment age for the Tap Dance programs?

Our enrolling age for Tap Dancing Kids program is 6 years and upwards Tap Dancing for Adults program is 16 years and upwards.

What is the enrollment process like for new candidates?

All programs (except for the Beginner Ballet for Adults) require the potential student(s) to come for an audition with the teachers, as all students are confirmed via a selection process. This is for the teachers to understand the students’ existing capabilities, how they follow instructions etc. It will not be about their ballet knowledge.

What is the payment process?

New enrollments have a One time Registration fee together with a Term fee which is paid by all students. A Term is 4 months with term holidays falling during the months of April, August and December.

What do I need to prepare for the audition?

Once an audition is confirmed, you will get a notification via WhatsApp about what to wear, what to bring etc. A key criteria is that you are punctual or early.

How many times a week do students need to come for lessons?

All students must come for lessons twice a week. This is a key requirement for our establishment. (Except for the Tap Dancing for Adults program which is once a week)

Do you have exams?

Yes we do! We are the only dance establishment in Sri Lanka to offer the prestigious Australian Commonwealth Society of Dancing (COMDance/CSTD) certifications from Pre grades all the way to Teachers Diploma. Giving our students a holistic and one of a kind qualification that can be beneficial for university applications/credit as well as skill migration.

Do I need prior experience to join the Adult programs?

No you do not! Our Beginner Ballet & Jazz for Adults and Tap Dancing for Adults are all programs for absolute beginners. As long as you can move freely without assistance and are not recovering from a recent injury or operation, anyone above the age of 19 can join the program.
(Our Intermediate Ballet & Jazz for Adults however need prior ballet experience)
