Intermediate Ballet & Jazz
The Intermediate Ballet program offers an elevated experience with intricate barre exercises and dynamic across-the-floor combinations.
Advanced Ballet & Jazz
The Advanced Ballet program consists of increased emphasis on line, style, and performance-level quality and technique.
Beginer Ballet & Jazz for Adults
A three-month program designed to introduce the fundamentals of Classical and Jazz Ballet.
Intermediate Ballet & Jazz for Adults
This program is for the Beginner Ballet graduate or those with previous ballet training and solid technique.
TAP Kids
Tap dancers master dance from every angle, refining footwork that will also benefit sports like Tennis, Badminton, Boxing, Racing, Swimming, Cricket, Rugby, and Soccer.
TAP Adults
Our adult Tap dance class offers students the opportunity to learn the techniques of beats and sequences, rhythmic combinations and routines.
Performing Arts & Theatrical
Engaging in the performing arts offers a distinctive and immersive learning journey for students of all ages.

The Ballet School of Colombo is thrilled to announce its partnership with The Commonwealth Society of Dance Teachers, marking a historic moment as the first dance school in Sri Lanka to join this prestigious society. This collaboration is a groundbreaking achievement for both us and CSTD, as they extend their affiliations to Sri Lanka for the first time.
The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing holds a distinctive position among global dance societies, encompassing various dance forms. Originating in 1933 with the establishment of the National Examination System and the Victorian Society of Dancing Australia, the society has evolved into an authoritative examining body with internationally respected standards.
CSTD offers examinations for amateur and professional dancers across distinct syllabi, covering Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap Dance, Performing Arts & Theatrical, and Contemporary & Lyrical. The society’s high standards make it a respected entity worldwide.
Under the CSTD syllabus, students can commence their dance journey with Foundation level exams, progressing towards a Teachers Diploma in all offered disciplines. This opens up avenues for participating in international dance festivals and programs, providing a unique opportunity for dancers to showcase their talent. The starting age for enrollment is 9 years and above.

Our Story
The Ballet School, steeped in a rich heritage, presents Australian-accredited, comprehensive dance curriculums that encompass meticulously crafted training programs. These programs span Classical ballet—covering technique, pointe, variations, adagio, and men’s classes—along with Contemporary and Modern ballet, which delve into technique, improvisation, and partnering. Additionally, our offerings include Tap Dancing, a discipline that heightens rhythmic, athletic, and coordination abilities, as well as Lyrical, Performing Arts & Theatre, Choreography, Dance history, Music, Stretch and Tone, and other related disciplines. Elevating the experience further, we host special workshops featuring esteemed guest dancers from around the globe.
